About me and my practice

You may be carrying too much emotionally, physically or mentally. Burnout, caring responsibilities, health changes, anxiety, low mood, or uncertainty about identity and self-worth can all feel overwhelming.

I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and identities. I am a committed ally to LGBTQIA+ communities and work with neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism. I also support clients living with chronic illness, disability or sight loss.

As a Black British Caribbean woman with lived experience of health challenges, I bring both professional training and personal understanding. I know that difficulties can affect not only wellbeing but also identity and belonging. My work focuses on helping you reconnect with your strengths and values.

I offer both brief, goal-focused therapy and longer-term psychotherapeutic work, depending on your needs and what feels most helpful. This means we can address issues such as anxiety, low mood and stress in the short term, or explore deeper patterns, trauma and life experiences over time.

Sessions provide space to speak openly without judgement. We may explore patterns in relationships, unhelpful thinking or the influence of past experiences, including the impact of trauma and grief. We move at your pace, allowing time to reflect and build coping strategies that feel realistic and sustainable. Whether youre coping with loss, adjusting after bereavement or navigating major life transitions, my aim is for you to feel understood and equipped to make meaningful change.

Experience

I am a trauma-informed integrative counsellor, offering both brief and open-ended talking therapy. My approach is rooted in person-centred values and draws from psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural (CBT), gestalt and transactional analysis methods. This allows me to adapt the work to suit your individual pace, goals and lived experience.

For some people, therapy is short-term and focused on immediate challenges such as anxiety, low mood, stress or loss of confidence. For others, it becomes a longer process of reflection and self-understanding, exploring how early experiences, relationships or trauma continue to shape life in the present. Whether the work is focused or exploratory, my role is to offer a steady, collaborative space where you can think, feel and speak freely without pressure or judgement.

I work with adults and young people navigating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, burnout and emotional fatigue. I also support clients living with chronic illness, disability, or sensory loss, recognising how physical health, identity and belonging are often deeply connected.

As a Black British Caribbean woman with lived experience of a sensory impairment, I bring both personal insight and professional training to my work. These experiences inform a compassionate, inclusive approach that values autonomy and accessibility. I understand how difference and discrimination can affect mental health and aim to ensure therapy feels safe and attuned to each clients background and needs.

My intention is to help you build clarity, resilience and self-acceptance so you can navigate challenges with greater steadiness and confidence in yourself.
